So now you have your super duper new C.M.S!!

But are you having a shop in a dark , unlit alley without even having a sign above the door???

That's basically the question you have to ask yourself?

Now, you have taken the first step, which was to install a c.m.s system which has been (hopefully!) incorporated in your day to day business activity.

This does not necessarily mean that you will have increased traffic on your site, which if all goes well should modulate in reactions and modulation of sales.
Hereunder follows an ABC of web promoting or also called S.E.O or Search Engine Optimization. 

Here follows some tips and advice on how to best promote your web page online:

1. Open social networking pages corresponding to your site, aka.: Facebook, Linkedin, plaxo, myspace.... there are tons of them. I nevertheless use Plaxo, Linkedin and Facebook and Twitter. The work of updating these pages is best managed by hootsuite. In Hootsuite it is easy to link all the pages together and use only 1 interface to update them all. it will take some adjusting before you have them all working correctly...the only disadvantage your followers might encounter is some double postings untill you sort it all out.
2. Make sure when u are adding an article to also fill in the meta descriptions and keywords and the robot text. This communicates directly to the search engines spider who check your site on a regular basis.
3. Use deep linking methods in your content, by replacing keywords with links to internal pages corresponding to these keywords.
4. If you can use video material, by uploading them to either Youtube or Video Google and then relinking them to your site...or tweeting them with Hootsuite.
